On July 4, 2022, an emergency response and rescue exercise for hazardous chemical accidents was held in the Shangyu Economic and Technological Development Zone of Hangzhou Bay, Shaoxing City. Safe-pro’s Level II chemical protective suits served as critical protective equipment during the drill, successfully deployed in high‑risk scenarios such as styrene leaks, fire suppression, and personnel rescue, thereby fully demonstrating the practical effectiveness and safety reliability of domestically produced Level II chemical protection gear in handling hazardous chemical incidents.

I. High-Level Deployment: Government-Enterprise Collaboration Fortifies the Security Defense Line

To effectively strengthen the management of hazardous chemical safety and ensure timely and efficient emergency response to sudden hazardous chemical accidents, the 2022 Shaoxing City–Shangyu District Hazardous Chemical Accident Emergency Rescue Drill was held on July 4 at the Hangzhou Bay Shangyu Economic and Technological Development Zone. Jin Jinfu, Deputy Secretary of the Shangyu District Party Committee and District Mayor, attended the drill and delivered a speech. Leaders from the Municipal Emergency Management Bureau and the Municipal Fire and Rescue Detachment observed the exercise and provided commentary.

II. Operational Context: Simulated Fire Caused by a Styrene Leak and Explosion

The accident drill simulated a scenario in which an chemical enterprise located in the Shangyu Economic Development Zone of Hangzhou Bay experienced an explosion during a shutdown for maintenance, resulting in the rupture and leakage of a styrene intermediate tank in the workshop, which subsequently triggered a fire and left personnel trapped. Following the incident, the company immediately initiated self-rescue efforts and promptly began emergency response measures. Under the Level I emergency response protocol for hazardous‑chemical safety accidents, all participating emergency‑response agencies swiftly arrived on scene to launch a coordinated operation, promptly containing the situation and preventing further escalation. Through the concerted collaboration and close coordination of municipal and district response units and the enterprise, the on‑site hazards were effectively brought under control, and the surrounding environment remained unaffected.

III. Cutting-Edge Equipment: Safepro’s Level II Chemical Protective Suits Make Their Debut in Real-World Operations

Safeguard Level 2 Chemical Protective Suit Applied in this emergency response drill for a hazardous chemicals incident, it provides reliable safety protection for frontline rescue personnel.
